Textured Pottery

I purchased this cute this little vase with greenery because I really liked it in the store. However, when I got it home, it just didn’t look right with my other decor. I moved it a few times before I finally figured out that I need to change the color! AND I wanted to add a little texture to it, especially if I was going to paint it a solid color. This is so easy, anyone can do it!

Gather your supplies

The first thing we need to do is gather our supplies:

Acrylic paint, coffee grounds and something to paint with (I used a foam brush.)

Paint the vase

I used painters tape to keep the leaves up and out of the way. (It is easy to remove when you are done.) Mix your paint and coffee grounds together and brush on your vase. The more coffee grounds that you use, the more texture you will have when it is dry.

Enjoy your new look

Let it dry, remove the painter tape and enjoy all of that beautiful texture! It really is that simple!
